I’m seriously considering giving the active individuals workout a shot this month. I’ll let you know how it goes! I’ve been working out steadily for the past 4 months or so and have seen smaller gains in muscle mass as time went on. Maybe this is the workout needed to finally get me over my plateau…!
Hi John, great hear that you might try the routine! I’ve had outstanding feedback from it considering that it’s very tough to make a “one size fits all” routine.
Even though several of the main exercises have 4 sets listed, I recommend that you start off at 2 sets for the first week. I would also recommend you take a week off before you start this routine if you’ve been training hard for 4 months.
Finally, remember that you won’t make much progress building lean muscle without eating enough REAL food. Check out the grocery list above if you haven’t already.
Good luck!
Hey Jamie,
Where do we go if we have questions on what an exercise is? For example, I have no clue what Y’s are lol
I’m working on a video library John and I’ll let you know when I’ve uploaded videos!
John,
I have done the active workout in the past and saw great gains, specifically in my back from this workout. If you do it as suggested you will be pleased with the workout, but be prepared to be humbled. My first round out I could barely do 10 sternum chin ups!
I also found that even though I wasn’t loading my spine up, I got good gains in my legs, which are my trouble spots. My friends often hear me say the phrase “the chicken that I came riding in on” making fun of my own chicken legs.
Good luck with the workout.
Mark
I’m impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both
educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something which not enough people are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy that I came across this during my search for something relating to this.
